HEAVY RAINS today have left deep water on the low spot of the local road between Weslemkoon Marina and Weslemkoon Road - be very careful. At 4pm the road was passable in a 4x4 (and possibly in other vehicles), but it was still raining heavily.

URGENT - June 19, 2000 - Notice to boaters
We were advised last night that water levels are unusually high. Apparently one boat with four persons aboard struck a marker off Weslemkoon Marina, resulting in a total loss of the vessel but, fortunately, no loss of life. Please use extreme caution in these conditions.

April 30, 2000 - Weather Report
While the lake opened very early this year - perhaps the earliest ever, nighttime temperatures are still quite cool, with some frost most nights, according to Dave Biernaskie. It's still a bit early to put your water system in.

The annual membership renewal drive is in full gear. This year, to minimize costs, we are asking all members to send a cheque for their annual dues ($60 if paid by June 1st, $65 thereafter) directly, and we’ll mail a reminder only to the few who remain unpaid at June 1st. A lake directory will be published this year, so be sure to get your cheque in by June 1st to ensure that you are included in the directory as a paid LWCA member.
Cheques should be made out to LWCA and mailed to:
LWCA c/o Tim Barnes
19 Salisbury Avenue
Toronto, ON M4X 1C3.
Please be sure to note your cottage number on the back, and also note any changes in address, phone number, etc. If you have an email address, please note that as well.
