TREASURE HUNT 2001
The Stevenson, Monk and O'Hara families, champions of the 2000 Treasure Hunt, have now recovered from the shock of what their win entailed, and are now busy planning the 15th annual Weslemkoon Treasure Hunt.
The hunt will take place on Saturday the 1st of September (Labour Day weekend), and will begin at 2:30pm. This year's treasure hunt theme will remain a mystery until instructions are delivered prior to the start of the hunt - so plan to arrive at Tanglewood by 2:00pm.
Ralph and Cathy, Tanglewood's new owners have enthusiastically and generously volunteered to help out with, and host the Treasure Hunt and the BBQ picnic celebration that follows. Ralph says he's looking forward to the event as he sees it as a wonderful opportunity to meet cottagers from across the lake.
Registration will be handled by Tanglewood Marina, at which the sign-up sheet for Treasure Hunt teams will be posted beginning the week of July 30th. Teams will be made up of four people and the entry fee for each team is $10. If teams plan to be accompanied by groups of cheerleaders (extended family and friends), teams should please provide an extra contribution of $10 for every additional 4 people planning to be at the BBQ picnic. All teams are asked to bring a salad and dessert to contribute to the BBQ picnic, as well as dishes, cutlery, napkins and chairs.
For more details, please contact Yvonne O'Hara at yaya.babies@sympatico.ca, or Tracy O'Hara at ohara40@hotmail.com.
